Look Good

Here are some skin care ideas that will make you look great using all natural and organic products. Enjoy, and let us know if you loved it!

AVOCADO MASK
Beauty ingredients

2 avocados, thoroughly mashed into a paste
3 tablespoons sea salt
1/4 cup honey
Grated rind of two fresh lemons, along with the juice
1/4 cup organic coconut oil
Mix all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. (The consistency should be that of a thin cream.) Apply to your skin for 10 to 15 minutes, then scrub off well with warm water. Keep unused portion in refrigerator for two to three days.

Skin care benefit

Avocados have a treasure trove of anti-aging attributes, including vitamins A, D and E, as well as proteins, lecithin, potassium and beta-carotene, a cancer-fighting ingredient. Avocados also are high in emollient qualities imparted by sterolins, which work to heal sun-damaged skin, scarring and reduce age spots.

Healthy Eating

Is there a relationship between happiness and healthy eating? We think there is. The way we feel influences the way we relate to our environment. Being well nourished makes us feel good and therefore has an impact in our lives. What we eat, where we eat and how we eat contribute to our being in a good mood.

Long, long ago, a guy called Sigmund Freud discovered that two opposed forces co-exist in the human mind: the death drive, the life drive.

If you are a bit familiar with Psychology you must know that the death drive in the human mind tends towards destruction. It is silently searching for material to use against itself. Our job as Psychologists is to drive intelligent, high functioning patients to their constructive side, so that they can succeed and become happier in their lives.

What happens when a decision taken under the death drive affects a country?

I'll feed you love

"They loved eachother with tenderness, passion and faithfulness. They tried to always be together and when they had to separate for whatever reason, they thought about eachother so much that their time apart was also a way of being together, more subtle, prudent and avid"

Happy Monkeys

According to a recent study* published last week by La Nación newspaper, being happy is the main goal for Argentinians. The importance of happiness is greater than love, even, and much greater than wealth, recognition and power.
The study tries to approach different dimensions of happiness. In this part of the study (the second of three parts) the study focuses on the importance of happiness versus other life objectives which are commonly considered vital.

As a first conclusion of this second part of the study, results reveal that being happy is the main objective for Argentinians. Happiness (which was presented to individuals in a list with other words considered equally important in life, such as love and peace) was mentioned in the first place. Love and peace got second and third place. Other words such as recognition, power and wealth were in the last place and considered the least important by the respondents.

Mommy break

It's a known fact that parents are responsible for the kind of person that their children become as they grow. For those who are constantly trying to be good parents and find themselves in in the roller coaster that this adventure can become, Stephen B. Poulter, a psychologist who specializes in family relationships gives us some clarity.

Bond - i Girls

So last night I was a at a dinner party and someone told me about this photographer, whose identity for now remains unknown. This photographer guy takes photos of girls who travel in public transportation, mostly buses, in the city of Buenos Aires. I have chosen some of his photos to share with you, but you can see more in
this facebook page.

He calls them Bondi Girls. Bondi is the Spanish word for bus. Thus the name. His motto is "no permission, no posing". If he sees a girl posing, he will cancel the photo. Cool idea! no posing for the candid camera.

Cheers to all the bus rider -bondi girls- lovers of public transportation in Buenos Aires! and of course to their personal photographer.

Un- complicate

- F: Pleasure is never simple, as you very well know.
- J: It is, until we decide to complicate it.

Once

Once (pronounced uhn-se) is a non-official neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires. Perhaps that's why some people call it "the non-place." Once is actually an area of a larger neighborhood called Balvanera.

Once could be described as a chaotic labyrinth of numerous shops and discount stores.
